Battlefield 1942's compatibility with RTX Remix is:

• Status: Partially Playable
• RTX Remix Runtime Version: 0.4.1
• Captures: 0 captures - add new
• Assets: 0 assets - add new
• Mods: 0 mods - add new

Additional installation instructions:

1. Get the game: Battlefield 1942 - The Complete Collection (Windows 10 Compatible)
2. Search for Turn Windows features on or off. Under Legacy Components, enable DirectPlay
3. Install the latest builds of remix.
4. Extract dxwrapper files, rename both dxwrapper.dll and dxwrapper.ini to d3d8
5. Open up dxwrapper.ini, set D3d8to9 to 1 and FullscreenWindowMode to 1 under the [d3d9] section
6. Open up \Mods\bf1942\Settings\VideoDefault.con in a text editor and set the value of renderer.setFullScreen to 0
7. Create a shortcut of **BF1942.exe** and head into properties. Add the +restart 1 parameter into the target box. It should look like this: "blah blah\BF1942.exe" +restart 1
8. Launch the game, select `Ignore` on error prompts.
9. Set all video settings except textures to low.
10. Set Remix Menu -> Developer Settings -> Game Setup -> Sky Parameters -> Enable Auto-Detect to By Camera Position and Depth Flags.

Issues:

• Error releaseNativeTexture() release error:1 thrown upon certain events
• Crash upon unloading a map
• Player models lack normals and have broken UVs
• Terrain is made of giant chunks, good luck remastering them
• Culling
• Non-opaque props
• Broken Motion Vectors
