Battlefield: 1942 is a tactical first-person shooter set in World War II. It introduces combined arms tactics, using tanks and dive-bombers, submarines and carriers, and machinegun nests with AA-artillery. Every aspect of WWII warfare will be accessible to a player and his friends from an FPS perspective, and the ultimate goal is to win enough campaigns to win the war.
Samples.zip must be MANUALLY placed in the appropriate location in order to work. Make a new folder called StandardMesh in the Battlefield 1942 root directory (NOTE: The game directory....NOT the map editor directory). Unzip all of the loose files from the samples.zip into the newly created StandardMesh folder. These files are necessary in order to accuraterly render lightmaps for objects within the map editor.
