Augustine is a first person multiplayer shooter that aims to bring about a fun experience. It's packed with several gamemodes and a custom gamemode creator.
I took it upon myself to animate Jasons new battlerifle for Augustine. This is my first FPS animation. Im not much of an animator, but a programmer, so if you don't think its that great, don't flame me for it.
Sweet, that looks a whole lot better than the old version, the textures look better too.
Yea this is now a 512x512 texture plus brand new model and new gun texture. We can still improve things by isolating the hands and the gun and creating 2 different textures for each(And it would use about the same amount of memory for more quality because all gun models would use 1 hand texture instead of a hand texture being merged smaller into a gun texture to form a 512x512)

the weapon is taking too much room from the screen. Melee should also need bit work. (seems slow and it seems like he is hitting with hand instead of weapon)
Its actually not as bad in-game. I couldn't get the Blender camera the same as in Darkplaces sooo its a little off. The Melee is actually fine. The butt of the gun is extended farther out, notioning that he is hitting with the butt of the gun.
And I know it seems slow, but 10 frames per second isn't optimal. If I were to speed it up by reducing the frame distance, I would lose alot of animation detail. So I'm looking into a way of increasing the framerate of certain animations.
But thanks for the feedback. I am surprised no one has said anything about the Equip animation. I thought it was kinda slow, or I needed to add more Pull
