Sounds pretty easy for architectural shapes. 3D Max & Blender should automatically do it for you with a click of a button right?
How does UT3 work with the curved/smooth edges?

Description

So in less than 2000 characters whats hard surface modeling?, its something I need to move onto/ learn this year, and as quick as possible, hard surface modeling is the process of modeling smooth edges with quads by using subdivided chamfer edges, depending on how far the supporting edges are before you subdivide the model depends on how far the edge will curve/smooth itsself, this method is used to achieve better topology in models apparently.
