Archeress Arcana is a 2D topdown rogue like where you, as the main character, must fight through multiple stages filled with enemies and unique bosses. Cast abilities powered by unique runes with intriguing side-effects while upgrading and purchasing new abilities, runes, weapons, and more along the way.

What’s New? Big news this week in "Archeress Arcana!" We've rolled out a host of exciting updates and additions:

  • Fully Fleshed-Out Shop: Dive into our newly added shop at each level’s beginning, using coins to buy abilities, runes, and gear.
  • New Enemy Movement AI: Experience more challenging and dynamic enemies with our improved AI.
  • Two Exciting Abilities:New abilities named 'Staff Twirl' and 'Fireball'
  • Two New Runes: Enhance your gameplay with our latest additions to the rune roster.
  • New Enemy Type: Aa brand new enemy, adding variety and challenge.
  • Myriad of Bug Fixes: Squashed numerous bugs for smoother gameplay and enhanced stability.

What’s the Motivation? Responding to recent playtesting feedback, we identified several areas for improvement. Players highlighted bugs that affected their experience, a desire for a more diverse set of abilities and runes, and suggested our enemy combat system needed more depth. We’ve addressed these issues to make our game more engaging and enjoyable. The new enemy AI, for instance, was developed to offer a more interesting and challenging combat experience.

What’s Next? As we move forward, we are excited about the following developments:

  • Boss Fights: We're intensifying our efforts to introduce thrilling boss fights at the end of each level.
  • Locked Start and End Areas: To add structure, the start and end areas of each level will now be locked.
  • Improvements to Combat Feel and Audio: Expect more immersive and satisfying combat interactions.
  • Overall Polishing: We’re dedicated to refining game mechanics, with our next release slated to be the final iteration.
