Alpha Squad is primed to release next week IS OUT! This thread is here as a collection of all the "wants" the fans would like to see in a future patch or update. I have about 5 megabytes left in the game file to play with.

If you have any gameplay specific issues, please post in the bug forum.


Suggestions: (crossed off items have been added in a patch)
1. Transparent Armory Mode in Arena
2. Smaller UI option (partially in, a no-UI stop gap measure)
3. Change weapon particles on soldier enemies. Change from Stormtrooper fire to slow fire that can be dodged.
4. Change small health recovery? Currently at 25% on white box, 50% for all members in survival pack.

5. Item descriptions for everything in the armory.
6. the ability to toggle armory weapons and the standard rifle.
7. A different color scheme for the "save game" screen.
8. Dodgeable bullets from soldiers and monkeys.

9. For Arena, have different difficulty tiers for the levels.
10. A mini-map for storymode levels.
11. Auto-fire option.
12. Melee attack during in-close combat.
13. Different sized gold/silver drop icons for amount
14. Investigate speed increase of heavy weapons.
15. Character select screen for armory?

Some form of melee would rule. I often get in situations where I'm running from a hoard trying to shoot them with, for instance, the Wave Gun, and it's spread doesn't quite get them all, but the fire rate is too slow as well allowing one or two guys to beat me down. If you had some form of melee, it would completely fix these types of problems. I've noticed wanting a melee while using other guns as well so it's not just the Wave Gun.

Some further suggestions:

1. Make the heavy weapons shoot faster (namely the Zeus Rod, Rocket Launcher and the Wave Generator)
2. Fix Neo Tokyo (it's ridiculously hard and I get frustrated at the thought of getting killed by a bunch of school girls carrying Pulse Rifles. I resort to using the Zeus Rod but I still get killed because it doesn't fire fast enough or hit enough targets to be of any use. I'd rather not use the Nuke either unless that's the ONLY choice)
3. Have the Blade Shield and/or the Damage Magnifier last longer (an extra 3 seconds would be perfect)

I'm not sure about increasing the length of time on the blade shield. It lasted longer on the previous version and lasted even longer in the beta.

It seemed ridiculously overpowered. For the first boss as an example I basically just needed to run up to him and sit there to kill him, since the blade shield does damage per second. Right now I think it is at the right place as a quick use to get out of a sticky situation and not as a pure offensive weapon.
