Hey

Just been playing Alpha squad and I have to commend you on the level of polish in your game. The graphics engine (all the effects, shadows, etc), the 2d art, the music, etc are all top notch. Very well done! I've looked at some of the reviews and can agree with a lot of what they say, however. Single player is pretty hard. A lot of the times I go to a new map location and I am bum rushed by the enemy and killed before I have a chance to do anything. I think a large scrolling map would have suited the game a lot better than changing between static locations. More of the backstory would have been nice as well, I know things are revealed as you go along but at the game start I would liked to have know more about the game world and my motivations. However having said all this it's great to see such a level of ambition.

One thing I would suggest is to review your price point. The limit for game package size has changed recently so you can sell games up to 150MB for 80MS. Most devs don't go beyond the 80MS price, that seems to be the sweet point from what I read. If you released the game with a patch, perhaps fixing some of the issues (a difficulty mode with fewer enemies would be a big plus so people can explore the game without getting killed) then you would see some more sales. The majority of people wouldn't pay 240MS for an indie game unless it was something truly amazing.

Anyway just a suggestion as I know you are probably working on your new game and have other life committments.

Best of luck!
