Initially a fork of 0AD, the realtime strategy game targetting city phases and fun play, it combines RPG and co-op features with RTS. It simulates world history starting at 200 000 B.C.E. and features realism like flow of time, lively atmosphere, civilization merging and foundation, day night cycles, weather, seasons and an elaborated tech, commander system as well as a hybrid AI for RTS-RPG style game play (coop, p2AI, AI2AI, p2p). Travelling time may give rise to questions about the circles the world seems to be caught in, e.g. conflicts, misunderstandings and group, personal interests to the disadvantage of the beauty of the world
Here Liu holds a sword and a sword and an axe.
Units can bear different items in the backpack (only strength, weight, volume are the limits) and can decide to use certain items of their inventory.
Awesome!! Good Work.
With something like this you should be able to do legionaries who would first throw pilums at the enemy and then charge, or for example a WW2 soldier who would throw grenades to an enemy tank, right?
Absolutely, the time machine will give all the freedom like in the real world. If you don't have grenades at hand, then just make them throw planks, it might give you some more time. thanks man
You can throw any entities in 0 B.C. Time Machine (if your strength can lift the weight of the entity to be thrown of course).
In 0 A.D. all this is 'impossible'.
If you are planning on inventory for troops then giving cavemen with assault rifles and modern soldiers with ancient swords can be a bit jarring or enjoyable as this give freedom on how you will equip your army and adapt on some situations.
true, I still hope it'll turn out epic, need to work more on it.
It would be epic to arm Roman Legionaries or any ancient armies with assault rifles and giving them vehicles from a defeated modern army. Like how tribals managed to defeat a much more advanced army with rocks and pointy sticks and looted their weapons and somehow replicates it with their pre-industrial tools.
Indeed, that'd be epic - and it's possible already.
