Suddenly came to me, I think a mod for an RTS, got zero hour in mind, would be improved by replacing general powers with killstreak rewards from the CoD series (MW2 and Black Ops...)
UAV: Reveals all enemy units (not buildings) on the mini map intermittently for 30 secs... could just be the spy plane power, but I always thought it was a bit weak...
RC-XD: maybe just a hero unit can use it for a cost? not player controlled if a hero uses it, so could be classed as a tank unit?
Counter-UAV: would work like scrambler which is already in the game, camouflaging some units, or for online games, disables enemy's minimap for 30secs...
SAM turret: Paradrop ant-air turret (not in a crate)
Care-Package: maybe money and health drop for units in an area, or even a random power like in CoD?
Predator: Not controlled, but you choose where it lands (like a normal power's spot is chosen...
Sentry gun: Self explanatory, Paradrop a turret (not in a crate), already in cnc shockwave mod... so not hard to implement...
Napalm Strike/Precision Airstrike: Self explanatory really... there's already a napalm strike in cnc shockwave mod, so not hard to implement...
Mortar team: basically just artillery which is already in the game, but separated into three strikes...?
Harrier Strike: like normal airstrike, but one plane with a machine gun stays behind killing infantry for a bit...
Attack Heli: Spawns a Comanche helicopter? bit weak, but ini files could be tweaked to upgrade the attack heli's stats...
Valkyrie rockets:...not really sure...maybe similar to the hyper-sonic cruise missile from shockwave...?
Blackbird: Shows whole map for 30sec, so better than intelligence in a way...?
Emergency Airdrop: I don't really think it could work, as it would be too powerful, like in CoD...
Pave Low: Spawns the aforementioned altered Comanche, but with countermeasures upgrade to be more like CoD
Stealth Bomber: Fairly obvious, but using a new, bigger model and better bombs than the stealth fighter in the game...
Chopper Gunner: Spawns a Gatling helix instead of a Comanche (model painted black, though)... maybe too weak... altered ini files again?
AC130/Gunship: already a spectre gunship, but just to make it more realistic give it laser point defences, countermeasures, and widen its area of effect...
Dogs: Spawns infantry-killing dogs which move on their own, so they will leave the area designated to hunt down fleeing troops...
EMP: Needs to last longer than the one in-game already, but otherwise the same...
Nuke: Doesn't need to be included, as it already a super-weapon, plus the enemy wouldn't be able to try and destroy the silo (unless the power let you build a single-use nuke silo...)

So that's killstreaks over... also thinking units (infantry mainly) being more varied, and getting less tanks... so FAL soldiers as basic units for a side, and sub-machine gun users being better (each side uses slightly different weapons, but essentially the same) Longer range soldiers using LMGs, better pathfinders (different gillie suits, not just green, which counts as camo in the snow apparently...) Riot Shielders throwing grenades (probably just take less damage than normal, not no damage, as that would be too OP...) RPG and stinger soldiers, thumper/china lake users would be good, and of course some guy with a crossbow :D Possible CoD maps for the game?

Anyways... rant over.. tell me what you think... just something I thought up, and all these ideas are free for other people to use, as long as they don't claim to have come up with the idea... :)
