So, say I want to take my mod from the HL engine to the HL2 engine. What programs would I need to continue production on this new format? People already making HL2 mods can help alot, seeing as though they already use whatever they have -- When there is no more room in Hell, the Dead will walk the Earth. chis wrote: |

No one knows the people making Hl2 mods, are making story and models the actually HL2 sdk hsant been released no one knows if ti will be easy to mod or hard, or if you can even convert a mod from HL to HL2 without having to recode the whole mod we are all in suspence -- Nothing. |

you can upload most of the hl mod up to hl2 (would still be the same only with better graphics) but you need to update the code abit i would presume. --

Yeah, although, considering this engine is awesome, you may want to up the poly counts on your models so the graphics are a bit better. Some people have already partly modded the leak of HL2 so I've heard... It hasn't been too difficult from what was said... (No, its not me ) Anyways, keepgoing along with models and skins and such, but don't code, because it will most likely end up being a waste of time... snow |
