Xmas Mod map WIP Thread

Well im part of the Xmas mod a Christmas HL deathmatch mod xmas.itsabeast.com

Because its a Christmas mod and this is summer it may be a bit odd that im working on this now. BUT to get the work done and ready for Dec we have to make it nice and early .

Anyway this map is a Home Alone insipired house, so think big American house snow outside nice warm christmas interiors. So far I have made the downstairs floor and roughed in the garden.

Things to take note: I have not put many christmas decorations in yet, I am yet to make my textures.

The garden is very much WIP and at the moment is very basic, the trees will be replaced by models

My long term plans for this map is to have some player controled traps, so I am looking for ideas for home alone style traps that players could use on each other. Any ideas will be considered no matter how off the wall they are .

I liked it, the fridge is nice.

All of the textures look good although how much more is there thats not done as it seems pretty sparse right now.

Since that video was done I have made the upstairs and the attic, basment is still to go. I need to make it open enough to allow good fast play. It is going to be a deathmatch level so you wont want to spend the whole time having to pick your way through chairs etc .

that looks awesome, I try doing maps, I will make something awesome, but then all the sudden I come back the next day, and Valve Hammer Editor has deleted everything but the entities, what program do you use?
