X2: The Threat Multiplayer Mod Thread

Has anyone thought about making a multiplayer mod for X2: The Threat? Players would be able to team up under one organization flag and play through plot to become ultra rich and powerful, or they would fight each other to the death in classic Freespace 2 Battle Royale. I haven't thought much into server/client connections, but with an Multi Theft Auto-like interface I think it's possible.

i dont recall the SDK being released, or if it was, it wasnt big enough news for modders to care
