I apologize in advance If this idea has been done to death (I'm new to the hobby of modding), but I was hit by a rather interesting mod idea, and, while I have the equipment, lack the experience and the personpower (Just me at the moment) to make it happen. The idea was to have a kind of alternate history 'What if?' deal, where in the game's fictional world, the allies lost WWII and, and a massive retreat was staged, with American, Austrailian and British troops withdrawing to their hoemlands. Within months England and scandinavia were captured, and Russia fell to a last ditch push by German troops in the Eastern-European theater. Fast forward 20-some years, around the 60's. American troops are planning to launch an invasion at the German's weakest defences, around the Arctic circle. Fro, there, the plan is to move downward, liberating as they go and, hopefully, destroy the German empire from within. This would be a multiplayer-only mod, with maps representing Scandinavia, The Arctic Circle, France, A 'Liberating London' Map (Big plans for that sucker), a German castle, Berlin and assorted other battlefields. I intend to use the MOHAA engine (Which is the Quake III engine Unless I'm mistaken) and basically stick to the same physics and mood, but with an updated HUD, new weapons, and updated models (Chances are, the uniforms of American troops wouldn't have changed that much in the span of two decades, so we can probably build off the MOHAA models.) My experience is primarily in design, level design, with some Graphic design skill and I'm willing to build the website (Not a domain name, but nevertheless...). I have access to A character Modeller, Photoshop 7.0, a map editor, and quite a few PC related resources, but all I need now is a team. I'm in need of: Thanks a lot, let me know if you're interested. That reminds me of a commercially released game. Can't remember what it was called. Pretty recent, WW2 hadn't finished, 60's. umm ... |

I really don't know what you're talking about though, if I had to guess it would be secret weapons of WWII. I don't actually Know that game's plot let alone own it but I had a suspicion it might be a similiar premise. |

treznz, that was Iron Storm, and was set during a WW1 that hadn't finished, even by the '60s. It was a bit average. --

I love alternate history stuff, and I love war mods, so the idea rings true to me. However, given that MoH:AA isn't a great mod platform, and given that it's quite old, I'd suggest moving to a different game. Also, I'd do two other htings before raising your hopes for getting a team together: If this ends up going through though, I'll look forward to it. |

You cannot mod for DX2 because the developers, Ion Storm, aren't going to release a SDK or any tools. --
