I am wondering what makes you want to go back and read new articles from a specific developer of a specific game?

How often you want to have updated articles?

What kind of articles do you like to read?

Also are there types of games that are more suitable for following dev updates than others?

What stage of the game deving you are more likely to follow it's development?

Also, after a game is complete or have version 1.0, what will make you visit it's website? What will make you revisit the website and read the news about the game?

What will make you wait for updates of a complete game?

Please share what you think...

If the dev creates game that I really really like. If the games are just regular games (fun to play but I won't come back to replay), I won't go back

How often you want to have updated articles?

It's not about number but about content. I don't want to read 12 articles only posting small update or just unimportant stuffs, I rather read 2 articles posting big update

Also are there types of games that are more suitable for following dev updates than others?

Hmmm... I think games which are big in size and gameplay such as RPGs and Metroidvanias

What stage of the game deving you are more likely to follow it's development?

When it has something to show to me i.e demo, be it alpha or beta

after a game is complete or have version 1.0, what will make you visit it's website? What will make you revisit the website and read the news about the game?

If the game is really something I love

What will make you wait for updates of a complete game?

Same as above

When I'm a fan of the game company developing the game such as Square-enix and when I'm interested with their game.

Depends on them. As long as they update me soon as possible and the content is interesting or important enough for gamers following them.

RPGs and open world games definitely are what interest most gamers nowadays. Cause games becomes more realistic and detailed than ever.

Once the trailer and gameplay are released. Close and Open Beta Testing. The stage in which we get to play the game already and get additional rewards once the game is released.

If there will always be new contents such as newly added characters, story continuation/expansion, and skill balancing/update.

As long I'm still interested, happily playing with others, enjoying and addicted to the game.

I never really read articles. I would say that articles on underlying design are nice, and news about new releases. However, I think other than major progress information, news isn't neccessary all the time.

I have hope that the Game will grow into a style I hope to enjoy, and If it has open beta (and I'm not too late) I can hope to help steer it into a direction I hope is Enjoyable for many people, But Since I'm Idiosyncratic and cynical, that probably isn't the best.

I don't care how long the Dev takes between updates, but I would like a well written blog (In English ;-;) Everyone one or two weeks, to get to know how the Dev is doing/and or progressing, or how they are doing in there daily life if they want to be so privy of there information.

(I am thinking of writing blogs on my profile soon showing the progress I've made, but I don't know how Copyrights of Ideas work)

Well written, english articles. The only language I can read is english, unless I blow up chinese characters to about 5-10x their size, because I just started taking Mandarin :P

I only have been following source games. I don't own a phone, and I don't get addicted to phone games. (besides terraria until my brothers ipod deleted my chunk). However, there are many sub-par Source games out there.

I will follow a game as early as alpha (Like REBELUTION, even though it claims it is beta, it doesn't even have a beta to test its mechanics, which I am soon trying to mend, asking the Clan RAILBAIT if they would host the server by replacing one of their empty servers

Bugfixes and A Possible Version 2.0, especially on multiplayer games

You can always play other games while you wait for updates, or work on your own game!
