Wars of Ages Thread

Ok, I'm the leader of a mod, so I can't start another or anything.. but i wanted to have this idea out there... (maybe it alreayd is) It'd be a multiplayer game.... You start off with primitive weapons.. cave man style.... After enough kills, you evolve sorta, you now have weapons form the reolution, then civil war, ww2, desert storm, and then present day weaponry.... Kind of like a FPS of Empire Earth if i'm not mistaken... Anyways, maybe people are already doing this.. I just think it'd make for a fun and interesting mod

Hmm, interesting idea. Another thing would be when more and more players evolve, the terrain evolves as well. Nice idea.

Yeah, I might be interested. I'm not getting a tremendous amount of support for my current mod. What engine were you gonna use?

Yeah, I'm thinking HL2. Tell ya what, anyone wanting to do this, I may be able to Co-lead with.... It would make for a fun mod, and it should be done..

Don't use Half-Life 2. Everyone immediately jumps on the HL2 bandwagon. I think Far Cry would be good, or STALKER, if it ends up with good MP support. Doom 3 probably wouldn't, as the engine is looking too limited.

There are already 304 mods listed for HL2, its not very original to mod HL2 anymore

lol.... I've heard Far Cry is nice, but I've never played it. I'm guessing FarCry has good multiplayer support?? I think we'll go with that if it works.... But HL2 is very pretty .... How are the SDK's for Far Cry?
