Why not? Okay I've already been working on both but I think it would be cool for us composers to work together and make a couple soundtracks! It would almost be like a "band" of sorts but we would be a group that would work together to make the kind of soundtracks we have already wanted to listen to. Personally, my specialty is strings and I have always excelled in them. What I still have to work extra hard on is beats. So we can work off our strengths and weaknesses to bring out a good album. Anyone up for this? Heres some examples of my work: Here is an example of one of my action songs (FPS): Moddb.com Here is an example of a more RPG song: Moddb.com The RPG one starts off with a kind of cheesy anime overtone and ends in more of a Final Fantasy theme to it. This is a very early work in progress of an orchestra version of an old song of mine: Moddb.com The original is here: Moddb.com Horror based song: Moddb.com Another example of an action based song: Moddb.com Random music demo: Moddb.com Ambient with a tense undertone: Moddb.com I think we should do this! Anyone up for some fun? We could get people from Moddb to make covers, etc, and actually release albums. Even maybe in the future work on mods as a team to compose and produce soundtrack and maybe even do it for money if the opportunity comes up. Edited by: ThoughTMusic |

Hm... i don´t know... BUT: Seems interresting... I´m pretty good with experimental things too And i´m also good in synths i think (but i have nothing to show on my website, but i won some contests on KVR-Audio) What i am missing is a good "Choir" and may some Battle-Style-Glissando-Brass-Instrument patches. |

Haha I do know exactly what you mean. A compilation would be extremely interesting to listen to. Different contributions from different members could be combined with a single program like Acid, etc, and one song could end up consisting of pieces from 3-4 people. I think it would be amazing to hear if it worked out. We could all listen to the track, individually make what we think it needs, discuss it, add it, listen, proceed. ^_^ --

So what do you have in your mid? Just starting on... something or do you want to give it a topic like: Steampunk, Spacetravel, Medieval, Horror ? EDIT: I was just going trough your tracks! You do pretty much combine synths and strings :3 I can hear the anime like background of your songs. Reminded me of a little bit of music from the online Game "Granada Espada" ond "Ragnarok" (especially the Tracks in your Demo-Wheel) (Which i do think has some nice music ^.-) Edited by: MA-Simon |

Thanks! Yeah since we would all be putting time into it, I would want us all to agree on a theme and Genre (Steampunk FPS or Medieval Role Playing for two examples). We can get reference images and work off it so we have a common theme and goal. I listened to a lot of your music and I have to agree, you are very skilled with strings and piano. It actually inspired me a bit and I made a song. Going to upload and link to it in a minute. edit: It will also be available on The Musicians at ModDB group's download page in a bit where I gave you some props Simon ^_^ WOW! okay so uploading songs to the site use to be a quick process and authorization use to take about an hour. Almost three days later I am just resorting uploading this to another website and linking it. This is what I meant days ago in my last post. This is the song I made after listening to some of your music Simon! (download link is closer to the bottom of the page) Okay skip filefactory here is the moddb link Moddb.com Edited by: ThoughTMusic |
