[SYSTEM] Serious Problem part 2 Thread

Well my HDD crashed on me.

Now when I boot up my PC it says "Operating System not found on disk devices", and goes into a restarting loop until I shut it off.

If I hook the HDD up to my other PC [this one] to check the status of the data on there, do I need to move the lil jumper on the HDD to slave?

What are my options for recovery, and what should I try to do/avoid? Are there recovery methods for a baked hard disk? I have a whole lot on that HDD that I want to save if I can.

Nobody wants to help me?

Don't use Partition Magic.

why not? I was gonna go get 8 pro.

I'm not the only one who has had problems with it. It's fux0red many a HDD in its day.
