Hi everyone, I'm planning to make an Half-Life² singleplayer mod and I have to admit that I have few knowledge in mod developpement, I'm a decent level designer but modding in Source Engine seems to be quite difficult, especially with SteamPipes updates. So here's my question : Do I really need to own HL² to make my mod ? : I own HL²DM along with some some other Source games; then I've installed HL² SP SDK 2013 and it seemed to work in the first place (I was able to play on some maps I made) But a lot a features doesn't seemed to work. - The game crashes when I go through a "changelevel" entity. - When I quit the game, a message pops up "hl² has stopped working"... I followed several guides like these: 1 / 2 / 3 and it didnt make things clearer... If I have to, I have no problem buying HL², but if that's not necessary, I'd like to keep my money! Plus, if any of you have some advice setting up a source mod with 2016 Steam, I would welcome it! Thanks. |
