Source is being a jerk Thread

Well lately I tried to create a mod with source sdk, but it's been acting retarded lately, I got visual studio and literally copied exactly what valve's new_weapon.txt document and it still didn't work, I really need a template or this to be a "I ask and you guys help please" thing 'cus I'm having some serious issues figuring this out.

Oh and I don't have HL2 or HL2:MP so that's part of my problem
