Hi there, My name is Rodrigo and I have been doing different sound stuff for years, from composing music to crafting sound effects as a hobby though. The video I am leaving here today is my first sound reel. A sound replacement done using Fmod Studio and Unity. Almost every sound effects was crafted using Pro Tools. I created the events in Fmod Studio and exported them as banks into Unity. Just looking for some feedback. At the moment I am looking to work for free in a project taking care of the audio or as a part of the audio team to develop the needed skills. At the moment I am based in London so I would prefer to help a local team just for the sake of communication. So if you need help with your project you can send me an email here nosed07@gmail.com and we can talk about it. VIDEO LINK: Vimeo.com Thank you |

Nice work on the sound demo. Your sound matches the actions well. However, just writing you did a great job doesn't help you much, so I'll be super picky. Sound heavily influences the emotion of the player. So while I think all of your sound design fits well, there were a few points I think that could be more impactful even if they lose a little realism. For example, the big enemy type such as the one at 1:30 need to sound stronger. These are tough to take down and hit hard, and the player should feel this in the sound design. Perhaps with deeper sounds with a little reverb while it is walking, and the bullet pings against its armor could be slightly higher pitched to suggest they have less effect. I think you were much more effective with the exploding suicide robots - their sound suggests a moment of panic for the player, well done there. The player's footsteps might want to be a bit lower in volume too. They are fine individually, though it sounds too much to me since they are so repetitive. Keep it up. |

Thanks -Velgus- I really appreciate you took your time to write about you thought. I had a listen today again and the quality of the sounds is not that good as I anticipated in the beginning. As you said, I keep working and designing is the only way to get better and go further. Thanks Rodrigo |
