Just throwing out the feelers to see if anyone has interest in working on an expansion mod for Skyrim. I am really inspired by the work being done for Morroblivion and have had my sights set on creating an expanded story and world for Skyrim a long while now.

I've been in the game industry for about 5 years, previous notable tenures at Bioware Austin and Riot Games in a variety of roles from QA to Production. I work in indie now, but love working on side projects utilizing all the amazing tools available from various studios.

I'm open to providing more info about myself as needed, given the right people interested, however I'm also being cautious because the internet is a dangerous place. ;-)

The expansion mod idea is to create the realm of the Daedric Prince Molag Bal, called Coldharbour.

(Coldharbour as it appears in ESO).

Molag appears or is referenced in all existing work for The Elder Scrolls that I can find, including the upcoming Elder Scrolls Online where he is the main antagonist. Because of that, there is a lot of lore ready to jump in with and more to be developed by Bethesda as they roll out ESO. But sadly only a small quest in Skyrim currently features him and his realm. If you've played TESV, Molag is encountered in Markrath under the abandoned house; if you've played Morrowind he has a string of quests there too.

Another discovery I made while researching into Molag and the lore behind Coldharbour and Oblivion is the explorations described in a book found in Skyrim about the Doors of Oblivion, which describe the realm from the perspective of a Master Conjurer who finally figures out how to cross into the Daedre realms freely. This particular discovery also describes a variety of ways to access to the doors to Oblivion which could help a lot integrating the mod into the core Skyrim game, keeping everything very lore friendly.

Well that's the gist of it. I'd love to discuss all the possibilities on this forum as we flesh the idea out more. If there is enough interest I'll start on the website and mod reg. process.

Best, InfinteJules
