After seeing The Matrix: Revolutions, I saw an uncountable number of cool mod ideas. The most promising of these, imo, is one based on the vehicles/tactics used by the Zionites. I think a very cool mod could be made based on the interactions between the APU (?) mechs and the bazooka infantry, as well as some original people. If balanced well, this could turn into a very cool teamplay game, with the mechs providing heavy anti-personnel fire and the infantry men providing anti-mech support. Any thoughts? The issue of copyright could also be sidestepped by not making a purely Matrix mod, just an "inspired by" mod, with maps that are original, not Docks-based. - Edited By longbow On Mon 10th, Nov 2003 @ 4:50:42pm |

We're looking at that possibility. The problem with taking an approach like that is that the copyright issues are much more likely to rear their head. Never fear tho, as we're doing our level best. On another note, does any one have any idea how to contact Warner Bros about the copyright issues? Well there is a mod or game that is in development called "NeoMatrix". Its a game form of all of the matrix movies. If you are interested in working on this mod just PM me. I am a member of the team myself, so maybe you may be interested. The idea just started 1 week ago. |

Can you tell me some more about NeoMatrix? I'm not interested in working on it, especially as I've already got some people working on my project with me, but perhaps we could join forces--the more merrier, so to speak. In point of fact, my project started a week ago too--check the post date for that first one. |

Half Life 2 is the likely candidate. Currently, we are in a purely design phase, at the end of which we will likely make a final decision as to what engine we conduct development for. You can likely count on Half Life 2 though. |

NeoMatrix was currently going for MaxPayne 2. Because it is currently available at stores, and the basis already incompanies the bullettime effect, making it easier to use than coding from scratch on the HL2 engine. |
