Requesting some assistance - Starting A Game Thread

Hello Im Øystein and my partner is named Philip.
From this weekend we have gotten the idea to start creating a game. I have a few hours worht of knowledge in UDK and he is at the moment learning about 3ds max.

But we have no idea how to start
Which programs to use.

If there anyone out there that could inform us how to work together? And which programs that supports each other. We are ofc going to start from 0% and learn everything until we know we can do this.

Any help would be lovly, and if you want to perhaps join us (idk how)
