Hey everyone.

I wanted to tell you about a project my friend and I are pursuing. It’s called RE:indie: a monthly video presentation designed to fit any indie developer’s budget. In a nutshell, it’s like a Nintendo Direct but for indie games. It’s a way to display video game trailers in a nuts and bolts way to appeal to a general audience. It’s not about reviews, brand names, Youtubers, or publishers. Just games.

The project works on two levels: a traditional paid tier guaranteeing a showing in the video and a lottery system where we’ll throw names in a hat and draw them at random. The winners of the lottery will receive a one minute spot along with the other paid tiers. That way those weekend warriors and 40 hour work week family’s still have a chance to showcase their indie game without any sort of unfair guidelines or high dollar advertising. Here’s our video for a better explanation.

So, like any video game related project, we are in fact currently running a Kickstarter. We believe the idea is solid but we are still in need of equipment like lights, a green screen, etc. This message isn’t meant to be a “please support my Kickstarter!!” (although you are welcome to). We realize that no matter how good a project is, it’s on the community to bring it to life. We think RE:indie is awesome and we hope you do to.

What we are asking is that you tell your indie dev friends and family about RE:indie or send our link to anyone and everyone you can think of. The more eyes we can get on the website and our Kickstarter, the better the chances that it’ll become a reality.

We are all over the internet so if you'd like to connect you can follow us on Twitter or friend up on Facebook. And if you have any questions, feel free to contact me on there or on here

Thanks,

-Hunter
