Hello all I am looking for a way to record and store events that occur during the game, and store this in some kind of log or output file. For example, whenever the player picks up an object, fires a weapon, or enters a particular game region, I would like this to be saved in a log file, by recording the type of action performed and the time at which it was performed (since the start of the game level). This would then allow for collection of statistics such as number of shots fired and number of enemy kills (from which you could calculate shot accuracy). I have read some posts here and there that indicate that this should be possible, but I have yet to find any instructions on how to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! p.s. I am using the Valve Hammer editor from the Source SDK |
