Hi, indie devs. I'm working in a new project and i need your feedback for this concept. Now the Concept (Quick Story, and Gameplay): The gameplay, in a open-world enviroment (Sauterion) you can move freely but in formal cities-state you can't allowed to fire or fight (this is not GTA) for upgrade your weapons, abilities, talk people, etc, but in hostile enviroments, unmapped areas and clandestine underground cities you are allowed, but attacking with non-sense can affect your reputation. Your equipement is like an MMORPG: a suit (armor), weapons, shields, grenades, misc, items, etc. Your shields you can has max two, but has different kind of protection: Energy Shields and Plasma Distruptors, The Energy Shields is effective against solid-projectiles, explosions and fragmentations but has a poor level against plasma/ambiplasma shots, Plasma Distruptors take care of them, you can only active one, and the two uses the same battery, Plasma Distruptors consumes more battery power than energy since their electromagnetic fields must be stronger enough to reduce the damage dramatically. The shields can't take all damage for you, you must choose widely your suit to take the damage (for example: Armor-piercing/Shield-breaker ammo). Your health isn't not regenerative like old school you can has as max up to 100%, you can regenerate your health without medical equipment but only your health is very low and their limit are up to %20. You can hold as max 2 interchangeable weapons (3 as upgrade, 4 but for only special one), and 2 fixed ones: the Maxotl (Machete-like Plasma blade) and the Motaliek, the last one is very useful when your enemy is about to do an melee attack and you are indefense and reloading, the Motaliek is known by the humans as an "Single-shot Shotgun" is an ancient Rekboron weapon this can save your life and is very strong enough to kill your enemy, when your battle is ended, is most recommendable reload your Motaliek, this weapon must be used as emergency weapon, no an combat one. You can carry items (and some can wear it), but the most important are your Handcraft toolkit (Very useful to create some makeshift devices, hack locks, etc.), Medkit (Necessary for survival), and finally the Exoskeleton, allowing the protagonist carry very heavy weapons where the humans can't. Your partner is a Rekboron,he can accompany you in the most missions and areas, is very important for the gameplay, unlike other games you don't worry in take care of him, he take care of himself, he plays as heavy-fire and cover, and provide you some supplies he can found, even can use him to carry items if you don't have enough space in your inventory, When you are not on missions or quests you can talk with him to know more or take a drink, etc. Weapons are very powerful, here not exists handguns, exists two types of standarized ammo and other no: Solid-slug projectiles, Plasma-compressed projectiles, raw plasma (for plasma rifles), electromagnetized aluminum spheres (EMP Weaponery), plutonium, etc. The weapons you can found are vast, from Rekborian weapons, Human-modified, 'Destrolvanian made, etc.You can sold your weapons and ammo for another, weaponmasters can take care about upgrades, and mods, if you found ancient human weapons, weaponmasters can take it to create weapons based on it using more modern technology and ammo, but the weaponmaster will take time to found adequate upgrades for them. The upgrade system is applicable in armor suits, weapons and some items (exoskeletons) and are divided in Tiers, but you most choose your upgrade carefully, for example, if upgrade certain part of the weapon for reduce recoil you are unable to replace the firing mechanism. We are now in thinking about puzzles, a new type for now. Thanks for reading and was your opinion?. |
