Programming flight stick in freelancer Thread

Hello fellow gamers, just bought freelancer for the first time and got a cyborg flight stick v1 to use with the game.
have loaded all the buttons on e.g shield, nano's, thrust, brake and they all work ok but I can't get the flight stick to actually fly the ship.
