Persistent Shogunate Thread

Hello everyone,

Im here to make a proposal of a Shogunate era Persistent module which is a MUCH more refreshing proposal as opposed to previous modules as we have seen it all before haven't we? Vikings....Medieval.....Napoleonic....American civil war...all that kind of stuff and the taste that is left from those games are just boring and all too familiar and this module will take in the ignored and ripe fan base of people who love the Japanese golden era of the Samurai and give them a module to love and play the hell out of as diverse Japanese classes

with Persistent Shogunate you will delve into a refreshing but modest world set during a Japanese civil war which is Post Rise of the samurai and Pre Fall of the samurai and if you are like me Samurai's are bad ass and the whole idea gets you excited, The initial idea is simple and honest You join as a lowly peasant without a coin to scratch your arse with, You join a small and desolate faction to make ends meat by serfing such as Rice Farming and woodcutting or even mining to build up some financial backing for yourself or even with your clan and when you have the funding declare wars with the factions that are violent and oppress when you were trying to earn gold but now as you train to be a Katana Samurai or a Spear Samurai to face your foes head on in brutal and personal combat.

Outfits are wanting to be re-textured and civilian clothing to look like Typical Male outfits like Kimono's and that samurai Armour will have to be moderately impervious to range as they never really used shields in that era which could make archers overpowered so factions will have to have good supporting units to their main strength

Foreign factions wont be in the mod as the matchlocks/Muskets would be too overpowered but please give me your thoughts and feed back on this mod and if anybody is willing to help make a small draft of this mod please contact me by commenting on this thread and it will be appreciated

Great idea! I think this would change PW alot in a positive way because of absence of shields and the way sieges worked, would make the module more reliant on skill rather than gear and money, would like to see this happen!

I 100% go /Vote for this to come through i love the idea of it ! I like that it will be new compared to just seeing the Nords, Knights and indians... Ive always wanted something new ! I have played Shogun 2 and most of its DLC's i have played Mount and blade Gekikojuio Campain SO THIS MOD IS POSSIBLE ! i really wish it will work

Fuck yes, FUCK YESS. Make this happen, PW has become a load of corrupted shite. Everything else with "Persistent" in it is all too familiar.

Ive been talking to loads of guys about this new Amazing Shogun mod for Mount and blade ! people have just looked at the link without even clicking and already loving the idea... i think this mod will go far ! with the right rules and the right ADMINS ! i think we can all agree this mod and hopfully server will go far. i hope that everything will go smooth and everything turns out great !

Alot of guys have asked for matchlocks but terrible accracy and dmg? im not sure if that might be in one of the updates OR might not be implimented into the game.

GREAT IDEA! I think my reg would love this and if we get the right amount and as said, the right admins, this could be refreshing change of pace for those who play PW, instead of the same overdone medieval stuff. Cant Wait

Hello Gents & Ladies..

After nearly waiting 3 Months for another project to end and seeing would this mod encourage some life we decided to move ahead with this mod and put forward a concept and a foundation to commence work.

Now I know I am hijacking this tread but I don't want to spam the forums & we have tried to contact the original concept creator on steam to request permission but to no avail, We would like to ask permission to move ahead with this concept and start shelling out idea's and plans to have this released in a basic form very soon.

We have the finance & infrastructure to host and run this mod, But we need a larger team,

P.S This is very early stages once work has started we will start showcasing. We know Bannerlord is coming but this should not cause an issue as PW will receive players.
