PC Games!! Thread

Im just starting to get into PC games and I already have the "must get" games like half-life, half-life 2, doom 3,and ut 2004. So my question is wat are some other good PC games out there that i can get.

Well what type of gernes do you like?

Get Totally Unreal, which comes with Unreal, and the original Unreal Tournament. Its only about $5-10USD I think, and they're awesome games. Also Battlefield 1942 is lots of fun if you like huge multiplayer games (Don't buy for the single player, the AI sucks). You also might want to look into Quake, which is the original true 3D first person shooter.

Also you might want to try Far Cry, Call Of Duty and if you are looking for something outside of fps you might want to try The Sims 2 !

Or Diablo II and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, totally great game... if you don't like D2 or have not liked it at one time in your life something is seriously wrong with you.

Diablo would be my favorite of RTS games, but I honestly just hate RTS's for some reason.

Also try getting The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay <- real good game

Joint Operations, as my friend would put it, frustrating but fun, and it truly is (up to 150 players in official server)

although I havent really played it Kotor and Kotor II

Return to Castle Wolfenstein (pc, console versions suck)

StarCraft?? StarCraft??? That game is so old and boring... If you are a shoot em up kinda person like i am, DONT get it

if you havnt played deus ex 1, you'll like 2

if doom or quake came out today, it'd fuckign rock and people would complain about graphics.
people are still playing both online 'en masse', so it's safe to say they are still good
(painkiller DM is almost a complete port of quake DM though, a must-check-out, DMC for halflife is a wannabeport that simply sticks to the same mechanics..but not half as fast)

OMG postal 2 sucks so much, a nonsense game. Better play the first version, it was a lot more psychedelic and atmospheric.

Darwinia is a great game it wont appeal to evryone though also try homeworld 1 and 2 and groundcontrol 1 and 2 and the total war series, also look at nfs underground 2 and deus ex 1 and 2 (2 wasnt that good)

oh yeah definetley get thief 1,2,3 and System shock 2
