I'll be sure to post some updates of our progress on this post. I have a couple of gameplay videos I would like to share, but first, I need to make sure it looks a little more pristine!

That crazy chihuahua better be everywhere...although I don't see how exactly it fits into the ancient Greek theme. So what is your game about, you have lots of interesting concepts but I see no story.

Haha, everyone does love that chihuahua. No you're right it doesn't. We started to realise this in our early designs and we've started to make some more Greeky feel creatures. We'll have them uploaded soon.

(Might have to add a small statue of the chihuahua though )

I can post some of the story here, but please be aware, we are still sifting through it's versions.

The elder gods gifted Optimistic, positive hope for humanity in a form of a crystal. The Hope Crystal was something that was worshiped and became stronger the more Hope they had in their hearts. Without it, evil in the world became a much greater threat. Cronus was greatly interested in the Hope Crystal and what powers he could obtained from it. Legend had it, the Hope Crystal could be used to turn the world into darkness. Cronus started a great war against humanity. With the titans following behind him, he began to take the greed and hatred from man’s heart and over-reacted out of their own, incessant fears (which Cronus fostered; whispering sweet doubts and poisons into their hearts). He furthers hate and destruction to their ends, and his own, bitter, triumph. He hates and despises all, for in others he sees only the dark reflections of himself.

He nearly killed all humans before Zeus, Hades and Poseidon lead the rebel war against them(a war of hope). He is disgusted that Zeus and friends have torn victory away when it was almost in his grasp. Upon fighting the titan Cronus, the siblings; Zeus, Poseidon and Hades were fighting a losing battle. All their weapons were useless, their stamina depleted and slowly losing hope. On the final day, the battlefield laid bare with corpses and blood. The three siblings looked upon the battlefield and nearly all of the Hope Crystal had diminished.

I won't go into much more because it's really long, I need to get shortned version of the story. Basically the three siblings stop Cronus, 100 years later, the gods go missing and are replaced with just a statue in the towns and villages. Zeus and Hades are the only gods left.

Couple of years later, while the people of Gaia ( which is the world) pray for the gods to come back, Zeus goes into hiding.

Pandora our main character is a adventurer and this is where the player first starts. You know everything about the past because of a cutscene before hand where the story is being read to the player. In a hand-drawn animation style like this: Youtu.be telling the story of the past.

lol, 'Zeus and friends'. Well it makes sense, as hope was all that was left in the jar after Pandora opened and spread suffering to all mankind, why are the first women in these kinda stories the ones that make life hard?

So what kind of gameplay were you looking to include?

Should have called the game "Zeus and Friends". There we go, sequel already in mind!

I'm not sure. We women are quite difficult haha

So a combo system! Here is the very bare bones of what I am working with at the moment. Gyazo.com
Quite linear gameplay where you follow the story, but have small quests on the side.
Very basic leveling up system. So when you level up, you'll get automatic stats that have been set for you. Like Kingdom Hearts! So if you see here, you'll ever get a new stat, like increased health or a new combo attack! Basic and easier for younger players
