"Next Music Game" Visualization Prototype Thread

The game's core idea is to let the player see and feel the music through visuals, effects and gameplay. Gameplay, music and visuals will be directly linked to each other to create an immersive experience in both gaming and listening/feeling the music.

Games that inspired us: AudioSurf & BeatHazard

There are no gameplay elements implemented yet as this is a very early prototype that only serves to test the core music visualization.

The project features beat detection, music intensity detection and other information retrieved from the music that is then used to create visuals that match the music. Players should notice the connection between the music and the visuals. Ideally it should not only "look" like the music but also "feel" like it.

I appreciate any kind of feedback, be it positive or negative, memes or even trolling.

As we don't have a website for the project yet the best way to follow the project is via the Steam greenlight concept page. I'll upload new prototype videos and other new stuff there.
