It's called.

"Unreal Tournament 2004 Player Abilities/Physics Expanded".

What it does is that it adds new in game options for the player, creating new strategic ideas and plans when playing online or offline. The mod is derived from nothing really new, but things that were left behind in UT99 and Unreal2. I can't really code worth a dime, nor do I know how to make animations, so my only option is to share it with you folks. Hope people here like it.

After Running Effect - After a player runs for a certain amount of time. The view will start to wave around alittle, giving the sense that the player is breathing deeply, which effects your capability to aim. This effect can be reduced by crouching

Laying Down - Derived from Unreal2, a player can lay on his/her belly to either; avoid a projectile, become harder to spot, and to eliminate footstep noises to get that suprise attack advantage. Add in a player skinned with an urban or jungle camo, and you got yourself an old fashioned top secret agent. Mission Objective, capture the flag without being spotted :D. To lay down, simply hold down the crouch button, and then hold down the jump button. This reduces you to a very hard to hit target, unless your opponent is hailing the ground with a rocket launcher.

Knocked Down - If shot in the torso with a high powered weapon, the player will get knocked flat on their butt. This is merely another crouching animation which the player is forced into when hit. This is another idea derived from unreal 2.

Grabbing onto a Ledge - Another thing left behind in the unreal2 world. Hold down the jump button will allow you to grab onto the ledge and throw yourself up if you just barely miss that footing. This can get rid of that "god damn it, I couldn't jump over that crevice cus my damn feet can't clear the ledge" irritation.

Tipping over - Rather than seeing players barely floating over the ledge (which kind of ruins the look of the game), if a player's foot is over the ledge, that player will slowly slip off the ledge and into the abyss below. This adds to the realistic physics of UT2004.

Feign Death - The exact same thing as the feign death in UT99. This allows a player to fake his death, making the noise and dropping the current weapon equipped to make it more believable. Once the player gets back up, a different weapon is equipped. The shield gun will not drop if it is equipped. This allows a player to hide around areas until the coast is clear and continue with his/her operation. This ability was one of the more useful ones back in UT99 and has long since forgotten in the unreal series.

Wall Hugging - This allows a player to flatten him/herself against a wall, avoiding the untrained enemy eye, and allowing that player to travel across ledges without tipping over. Simply walk up against the wall, walk backwards into it and then hold down the walk key. Now you can let go of the movement keys and your character will still be flatten against the wall. Press left to move left, press right to move right. The gun equipped will also be flatten against the wall until it is fired, then it will point out for enemies nearby to see.

Disarming - To Disarm an enemy, simply shoot the gun with a non-explosives weapon. This will destroy the currently equipped gun. Some guns take more ammo to destroy. An assualt rifle is easier to destroy than the link gun, and the bio rifle is easier to destroy then the redeemer, etc.

Weapons Acting as Shields - Because the weapons are destroyable, they can prevent projectiles from reaching the body.

Tackling - By dodging in a certain direction, a player can knock another player down on their butt. Whether it be teamates or enemies, it does no damage but will stun them enough for you to finish the job with a gun or to run away.

Falling on a target - Depending on the height of your jump, you can cause more damage by falling on them. Falling from a small distance will slightly injure them, falling from a sky scraper per say would instantly kill a person below that falling player.

Well that concludes my idea. If any of you like anything feel free to use it in your own work. Unfortunately, I have no coding experience or training. Question? Comments? Concerns? Flames? feel free to post them. I only hope that someone makes this mutator for UT2004. It could bring back some original tactics, create new ones, and make more options for players in the unreal series. Some of you may think "What the hell, unreal tournament is an action packed gun blazing action wonder! what the hell are you smoking?" well to tell you guys the truth, Unreal Tournament 99/2003/2004 can be used in a variety of ways. With the right gamespeed, the right people and gametype, Unreal Tournament 99/2003/2004 can change from action packed, to warfare, to tactical espionage within minutes. I posted this idea in hopes someone could expand that diversity. Thank you all for reading, and enjoy your unreal tournament experience!

It sounds like a really good idea, and I think it would really improve UT2k4 :D I hope you go through with this, because it sounds awesome :)

unfortunately I don't know how to make mutators, so I'm sharing it with all of you :D
