Im a new 2d artist and i wanna know a good free 2d development kit thing im interested in making a 2d game but i dont know how so please help guide me through the steps |

I'm also very interested in this and am in same position. I'm very new here, just made an account today. I'm really setting my goal to making something so I've been looking through the games listed on here, you can see on the right it usually says what engine they used and you can access the official website from the link offered there. I've already got three to try out this week! haha |

Some really awesome FREE software you can check out: G.I.M.P (Raster Graphics - like Photoshop style) Inkscape (Vector Graphics - like illustrator) Spine (Animation Tool - kiiiinda like Flash) *Its a trail version but the only thing you can't do is export your animations* And here is a huge list of pixel art tutorials. That should keep you occupied for a while. As with anything PRACTICE A LOT. Make a good portfolio and get on some indie teams as a newbie artist working with a more experienced artist. Good Luck! |
