OK
So I produce music and I have and idea for promoting a new song I am releasing.
The idea is to have a very basic game on the web that I can link people to via facebook, Twitter, Soundcloud... Ect that when beaten allows you to download a song for free. I have done a slight amount of research into how I can accomplish this yet I only found a few game creators and none of them seen to let me put a link to the download after you beat it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can turn this idea into reality?

Thx in advance!

I understand your concept but I wouldn't highly suggest it. A good way of promoting a song or a music theme in the Gaming Industry is to send it to a game developer or development team so they can use it in their game. You will be credited for that and if your song is decent then you will drag attention of fans and maybe you will be proposed job opportunities too.

My advice - be patient and send Your links to developers. It is like lottery - but You have bigger chance to get some profit :)
Also make some official webpage, like Soundcloud, where you put some examples of your creativity.

Can you be clearer about promoting a new song? If people download your song for free after beating a game, then what?

I suggest overlaying your tracks on a video game footage and upload it on YouTube. Say it's your version of Skyrim, StarCraft, or whatever game genre suits your music. People who like it will subscribe to your channel and they will be there to watch your next productions.

This builds up your audience and brands your music to be fitting of video games.
