Hello everyone, I am new to the IndieDB forums, but I have used IndieDB for years now for finding indie games that are simply unbelievable (Gang Beasts, am I right?). Lately I've also been working as an indie game developer using Unity's 2D engine and primarily pixel/retro graphics. My latest game, temporarily titled "MultiTank (Working Title)", until we figure out a better name, is on Steam Concepts and is looking for honest, down-to-earth feedback.

A little bit about the game: It is a 2D topdown multiplayer shooter, much like games like Combat, RecWar, Tanks (WiiPlay), and countless other topdown tank shooters out there. Now I know you must be saying to yourself: "Why would I bother with this game, it's just another one of those." To that I say: We have added enough content, and are planning enough content, that will blow those other games (Which are all pretty outdated, to be honest) out of the water. The full list of current and future features on our Steam Concepts page, but here is a bullet list of a few of the features we're adding:

  • Bright, clean & simple art style
  • Available on PC, Mac, and Linux (Greenlight)
  • Up to 8 players in on arena at a time
  • Player Powers, including things like Mines, Homing Rockets, Blink, Flamethrower, and more!
  • Multiple game modes (Team Deathmatch, Free For All, and more!)

We plan on always having communications with our community, and will try to respond to every email/comment/suggestion we receive all through development. We are planning to Kickstart the game (With some great pledge rewards) on August 1st to be able to pay for the multiplayer license (Unitypark Indie Suite) and several Unity Assets we've purchased to increase the functionality of the game.

We would love for you to leave a comment with what you think, and to give us an honest vote on our Steam Concepts page!

Thanks,
DarKTower
