Hey i was playing on cs: source and got a bit tired with the people on some of the servers... so i thought hey *wouldn't it be cool to have the moddb members playing games on cs* so i was wanting to know whether anyone thought it would be a good idea to arrange something like this:

A moddb server for moddb members

and

A forum topic like this to arrange gang wars on cs: source so for example: we arrange amongst ourselves who will be in which team and maybe have tournaments and random games.

Well that was it :) post your opinions on here!!...

Are you talking about like a moddb league?

Yes, or maybe just a server for the moddb members to play games... have a chance to frag a person on moddb you have fallen out with, or kill whoever has been spamming etc..

but a league is what i had originally thought out :)

There is a little something that started on moddb called Frag Fest Friday. We're currently redoing the organization and planning it out for the future right now. (Translation : we were too lazy, but if there's a demand we'll do it) =)

why not 6.1? not all our computers can handle half-life 2...

lol Frag Fest Friday sounds good... yeah i'd thought about that silent, but i suppose it depends on the demand i guess... a poll could be good to see if it should 6.1 or source.

i thought about the same thing awhile back, but then thought of the problems. random people would join and make it a regular server. only accepting moddb user's ip numbers would take too long since there are so much users.

I can tell you now, CS isn't really popular with some of the regulars here, and you'd have to fund the server amoung your selfs, we're trying to get a download server. :)

Yeah i'd thought about that too. But if there was enough people it would be quite cheap to fund it. For the problem with getting only moddb members into the server, there could be a regular password change that was PM'd to everyones account - or just the ones that wanted to play it... but i dunno just an idea i guess.

Not really, you could just join modDB, and then get the password.

I'd rather just ask a Moddb member if he'd like to play a game of Cstrike: Source with me and then we'd both join a public server. It's a lot cheaper than paying your way for a server that'd be empty most of the day :P

hmmm true... but then it would take quite a while to get a group of moddb'ers to join the server

lol it would never be empty :D i'd be on it 24/7... even if i was afk for when i have to go to uni O.O
