Mapper for hire Thread

I've been mapping for roughly a year and I want to join a mod, I'm not sure which to join or which ones are even hiring. If anyone has any ideas or want a sample of my work. Add me on Steam- reesesaholix

P.S. I only map on Hammer and I can make custom textures but I need to redownload my photoshop.

Just checking, when you say hiring, you still mean for free right?
Because you usually won't find much luck on these forums looking for paid work.

yea, sure. I have a really nice map I was working on for the hidden but it wont compile. I can send pictures of the hammer 3d window.

I dont want to sound like an idiot...but how do you take screenshots again????

Actually, I need to start a whole new map. The hidden map is corrupted. I tried to start it up and it crashed my hammer. I need to make another map if you want screenshots. Any themes you want? I can have a pretty detailed map done in two days.

Well, I don't know. Sorry, but while I'm starting on a mod myself I am trying to get some skills in mapping and maybe a bit of modelling and coding myself before I try hiring anybody.
Don't worry though, there are tons of mod teams out there. I was just suggesting you post screenshots because most people like them.

Yea, thats what I guessed, I always walk around when I don't have any ideas. And I found that my house (with a few trap doors and hidden hallways) could be a nice detailed map. Also, if you want to learn anything about mapping, I used halfwit-2 for all my tutorials. It's a bit old but everything there is helpful.
