Making levels Thread

Can you make levels for the steam version of Half-Life?

yea, do you have worldcraft ?

put them in your steam/steamapps/counter-strike/cstrike/maps folder

after you create them.

then boot up steam and go to your map list. it should be there !

i can´t find the .wad files you need to make a map.

you have to download some or get the from your halflife directory. it seems when you precache steam files it also deletes your wads.. :\

try downloading them

just type .wad downloads in the search engine

no problem

just remember to make a res file for your wads

so if you make a map called box.bsp and it uses th box.wad
put a box.res file (just a txt file with the res extension. just change it to res)
and put it in same folder as your maps folder

then inside put

maps/box.bsp
box.wad

so when ppl try to dl it off of your server they get the wadfile as well. this also goes for ambient sounds

well, i just thought i might need to tell you because you didnt state if you knew about that.
