Lemmings for Minecraft Thread

I just got the urge to play lemmings but the old lemmings is not that fun for long. Why not mod MC to be able to play lemmings?
Would it not be cool to have a gate that after X min started to spawn lemmings that only walked straight forward, only turning and jumping where you have put out signs (or something) that tells them to. Saving them from mods, lava, drowning and helping them to arrive to home. Having redstone with this would only make it cooler!
