Killing Floor 2 Weapon Texture Mods Thread

Greetings!

1.) I am new to modding.
2.) I'm relatively new to texturing with Substance.
3.) I really want to start creating weapon texture mods for Killing Floor 2.

So here's where I'm at:

I don't know how to export a mesh from the Killing Floor 2 SDK so that I can import it into Substance. The only files I can find are UPK files, which Substance doesn't accept.

I'm looking for:

Someone who wants to give me the rundown, preferably via Google Hangout or Skype. I'm 30 years old, former engineer, senior in Game Design at a decent college, I currently work in the industry doing audio for a major game developer, and I learn fast.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, noted, and reciprocated.
