well....of course it'd hurt.....but a quick, superficial slash is what i'm thinkin of...:P

EDIT: think that would mean the saliva from the mosquitoes, (which, for all you uneducated people out there, is a moderate irritant, causing MIND NUMBING ITCHINESS!!!!AAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!) after i deliver some quick cuts, would drain?

you got it! just lemme sterilize the blade with some alchol...or something

found the peroxide...

i'm just kinda poking at it......i'm hoping i'll just be able to puncture it...

went through skin....just the top layer....no blood, yet

we got blood......but no free flow....i want free flow

fuck exacto. I'm going to use mah razor blade

the edge of the razor works great! :D

it's done with minimal blood loss....but a drop or two comes out. i got the worst one. no other ones should bother me.

Dude, that's just disgusting. If it bothers you so much, just rub some ointment or whatever on it, and that will stop the itching. You don't have to use a razor blad to use self-inflicting damage, not to mention it's not really a method you use to stop the itching in a mosquito bite. If that was true, every doctor in the world would be using a blade to lop off mosq bites :S

5? Your lucky. Here, during the summer, you can't stay outside very long
for fear of being eaten by the mosquitos. O_o

Cutting them open is stupid. Not only will you be using an unsterile instrument
but it will take much longer for them to go away. Don't scratch, just rub the
bites. Has the same effect and it wont get infected.

Its interesting though because somepeople they stay while others they'll disappear pretty fast. And their a lot worse in northern minesota or canada, as in really bad.

I haven't gotten any mosquito bites here in Kansas this year except when I slept outside on the ground ( and that was probably chigers)

Um.....I'm not that stupid to use an unsterile blade, O_o....I soaked that bastard in hydrogen peroxide.

t3h wrote: not to mention it's not really a method you use to stop the itching in a mosquito bite. If that was true, every doctor in the world would be using a blade to lop off mosq bites

I didn't lop them off. I cut them open with the corner of a straightedge razor blade, and it worked spectacularly. 3 or 4 superficial (but still able to bleed) cuts worked great. If you can take pain like I can, you would realize that it's a very effective method that stops the itch. So long as you sterilize the blade, (done easily with isopropyl alcohol or hydrogen peroxide) and make sure you only deliver light (but bleeding) cuts, the mosquito saliva drains out with the drop or two (if you did it right) of blood.

I don't condemn this method, and I don't condone it. Give it a shot if you want, just be careful. Sterilize the object being used to cut/pierce, and use the very edge with quick, light strokes. And the cuts don't need to be gargantuan either. The biggest cut I delivered to myself if less than 1/2 an inch. Jeez people. Loosen up.

EDIT: now i'm going to do it to two other bite things! HAHAHAHAHAH!!
