Hello moddb community,
I am in charge of a project for a company called Triple7. It's small right now but we have big ideas that we want to see implemented this year. I am new to the whole idea of "MOD"ing a game so please forgive me.I basically just need to know if some things are possible and how much would it cost to get it done.I have a couple of Ideas that a much bigger idea is based on. If the first is not possible than the rest won't be.Here are a few things that I need to know is possible with Company of Heroes, both old version and the new 2.0 (if the game does any of this naturally please forgive me and help me figure it out. )
1. Can the camera be locked in position to follow certain units around. ie: can you zoom in the camera on top of a tank and have it looking out as if you were on top of the tank and have the camera locked to that position so when the unit moves you see the same angle. Such as if you had a physical camera mounted on the tank itself.
2. Can units movement be directly controlled via a joystick. Such as a tank?
3. Can you make custom maps of anything? Are there links to articles telling you how to go about making your own maps?Answers to these questions will be much appreciated. If it is possible to do these things and the cost is within budget we may be hiring people to work on a MOD with these features.
