Hello everyone :)

After almost a year of work, I've finally finished my first indie game - DarkBase 01.

I would like to get your feedback on it - I've attached a poll onto this post.

You can find the game here:

Steamcommunity.com

Solarstormstudio.itch.io

I uploaded it to Steam Greenlight yesterday, and as of this writing, I am currently at 5% to the top 100 with 217 YES votes.

So please partake in the poll that I've attached.

Thank you and your support is greatly appreciated :)

Your game looks really good yet on how it is presented on your website but if I wanted to view it on Steam it doesn't find this page and says that you might have removed it. What am I doing wrong or have you really removed it? (._. )

The game looks good from what I have seen. But, I must give more detailed feedback and give some negative feedback.

First of all, Greenlight. That is the main aim for most indie developers and is your games' aim too. Is your game good enough for greenlight? In my opinion, yes and no. My first problem is a simple one: its style. I like the style of it, but it is quite a basic looking 2D game. Some people like this, some people do not. Most games that end up on steam are a bit more polished, but that is not saying that it is impossible for you to get yours on greenlight. Your game is a survival style, those are quite popular. As long as the gameplay is good and you have some progression, the fact some people do not like the style will become irrelevant over time. Also, from the screenshots, the game seems to like quite repetitive. Every environment looks very very similar to the previous one. But I cannot fully judge on that, as I am basing this solely on the screenshots. You say that you spent a year developing this game and it gets more challenging, so from that I can assume that the game is quite fleshed out and diverse (yet similar) enough to be worth playing for a while.

Overall, it is a fairly good looking game. Based solely on what you have written and shown, I would have to say that it stands an OK chance on Greenlight. I like the little story teaser you have written on your site. As long as you have thought about what I have written above and you have put enough effort into it, I think a few people would want to play it.

I wish you all the best of luck with your game, hope I have been helpful.
