So lets say I wanted to make those cheap games you would find at big lots for 6 dollars. You know, the kind that are made by E-games or Cosmi and boast 50 games of all different genres. Action, Racing, Sports, Puzzles, ect. Like this? Amazon.com
Or a games such as these Allgame.com

How many programmers does it take to make those games and how much programming do you think it might take? How many programmers do you think it might take to make a game with many genres combined together?

I am very curious, because in the future I might want to make a game of many genres. I know very little about programming video games.

Be honest with me.

Honestly, there is no number requirement of programmers. Having multiple programmers would simply speed the process of development up. Anything can be done by one guy, hell if Dust : An Elysian Tail and Banished can be done by one guy COMPLETELY, (art, programming, story, etc.), then I'm sure one person can do what you are thinking of.

There would be a lot of programming to do however, unless the games were already created and you simply wanted to put them all together.

Until a certain point

Too many will actually end up slowing everything down
