I noticed the Mod Help Wanted list lacks two things:

Normal-mapper Request
General Modeller request

You see, normal mapping is a fusion of both modelling and texturing. Also, modelling is much more than player models and weapons (vehicles and world objects, anyone?)

I need (a) normal-mapper(s), and I need (an) experienced modeller(s).

Some information about the mod I am the leader of, Bum Life ( Bumlife.modpages.com ).

Bum Life is going to focus on creating a giant play environment in the form of a city, with a vast array of vehicles, NPC pedestrians, as well an extremely interactive environment. The gameplay type, focusing on multiplayer, will encompass a very dynamic set of Player status options. This means if a player wants to spend time doing a particular thing, they can set themselves into a "player status", such as "building" or "driving" and the game will lessen the impact of other players on that player's freedom to do as her/she pleases. The game will feature a multitude of vehicle and other transportation options, as well as a very interactive city (one in which you may enter as many fully-featured buildings as we can create, as well as things such as bodies of water; a river and the like). Bum Life uses the "free" status of the bum to allow the player as much freedom as possible without inherent societal pressures to not do what they would like. Bum Life also does not focus on weapons, instead, it focuses on interaction. Interaction in the form of driving, flying, building, exploring, competing, and freedom.

We currently have 14 team members (myself included), and need experienced and talented people to help round-off and complete the team in the key positions of Normal-Mapping and Modelling.

If you are an experienced modeller, but are unfamiliar with Normal-Mapping or terminology itself please refer to:

It's an interesting concept, but in theory it can get kind of boring without any real objective...
Anyway, I can't help you, but I just thought I'd visit the site. Interesting stuff.

It will have a "point" system, but since it will be much more than just "kills" or "frags" the dynamics of it have yet to be fully planned out. We were planning on having an experience system, but making the experience gain globally (i.e. on all servers) was going to be extremely difficult.

Hmm... cool.
Perhaps you could make the experience gaining client-side so it would be saved on the player's HD and when he would join a server the experience would be loaded up? Hmm, well whatever, it's your mod.
Good luck with looking for the talent. It's hard. Take it from me, I know.

We've thought of that, but then the players could modify their experience points, etc. We could encrypt it, but that would lead to us having to put the encryption key in the server .dll, and then anyone with a hex editor and the server .dll could find out the key and decrypt the information and edit their stats. (As you can see, we've done a loooooot of brainstorming on the experience issue))
