looks great... So we should all create mods that are totally original, with no solid gameplay. Theres nothing wrong with using tried and tested gameplay.

Ok for all you people looking for something new, this might not be great, but for the fans of the orignal its great, they can play it on a better engine.

I completely agree. Let's all show out total lack of originally to the fullest. Hell, let's all make CS clones that are exactly the same as the original.

Well, its what HL1DM source was suppose to be.. but they didnt release hl1dm source.. this mod wasnt easy to make by anymeans
so please dont bash something u have nothing to do with, its a good MOD hence MOD.. most of the hl1 communbity wanted J@nek and RATICIDE to do this... so they did what the COMMUUNITY wanted.. not what you think it should be.. or shouldnt.. so with that in mind.. play if u want if not.. piss off

Well get used to people being a tad mean. They are Sometimes.. trying to help, but in this case they werent. Some times people act a bit mean, but they are trying to help, the above are acting a bit immature

My point was that if I wanted to play the old version I would. And actually there is something very wrong with remaking a game. I understand using someone else's ideas. And I can understand using the same "style" of gameplay. But remaking a game? A game that most of the people who own HL2 already has. Didya think about that. And to that tard who said I'm just trying to get a rise out of being annoying. DAMN STRAIGHT I AM. I'm sick of seeing resources go to some idea that's already been done.

Also, I find it funny that the few people actually supporting this have been flamed multiple times for being complete idjits....

I totally agree. I loved hl1dm, but dislike the idea of remaking it on source. If it was wso enjoyable on hl1, what is it on Source that will make it a better game? Physics? Gimme a break...

no i think its the graphics really today games are being remade a lot, mabey it deserved to be remade

I also think some people are getting a wee bit confused and think this is just hl2dm...

I for one, will play this mod. cheeseyballz got it bang on, its the graphics hl1 just doesn't look nice anymore, so why suffer when you can play it with better graphics.. And now some1 has gone to the hard work of creating it. It also has some nice interfaces.

Not mentioning any names here, but there are some regular members on these forums who slate every mod that they think isn't original, and its getting old and tiresome hearing the same arguement. How would you like it if you released your finished mod and people said that? Oh yeh you aint released one have you cuz your whacky ideas are a wee bit too extreme.

No offence to any members was intended in this post, I am just having my say, as I dont thin originality is key in a good mod, I'd rather have a mod that has well made models, isn't buggy, and gameplay is sound. Rather than playing somethign unique and the opposite..

Alright. You guys can keep your EA mindset and continue to do remake after remake because you can't think up original ideas. That's fine. And OMG better models?!!! You can do that by adding your own models to the game. LIKEOMGWTFBBQ?!?!?!

Guys, if you just want to bag this mod for not being original, then don't post here. Your posts aren't wanted. Whilst it is a remake that is following the same gameplay designs as an older game, that gives you no right to make a mockery out of it.
