Hi all, We are in the process of putting together a Greenlight campaign for our upcoming title, Street Fist 2, and i was hoping to get some tips or ideas, and possibly some critique on what we have so far. Street Fist 2 is to be our first major release, so we are trying to gather as many ideas and as much information as we can before we launch the Greenlight.

Don't even think about Greenlight yet. Better put your energy in the actual game. I looked at the project page and this is what I found:

1. Three untextured models
2. A gameplay video that doesn't look good at all

Regarding 1:
You have mostly concept art in the image section. Concept art does not count as actual content.

Regarding 2:
Whether you call it 'Pre-alpha prototype footage' or 'Pre-pre-pre-alpha unfinished WiP prototype footage' doesn't matter.
If it's all you have to show, people will build their opinions based on it.

As it stands, the video looks just bad. Visual style, textures, effects, lighting and animations. All of them need far more work.

My recommendation:
Forget about Greenlight and continue to work on the game itself. The better it looks, the less work you need to put into the future Greenlight campaign.
Quality speaks for itself.

I understand your crits, and we are fully aware that we don't have a finished game yet, we are under no illusions about that. We have no intention of starting our greenlight campaign until we feel we have the content to do so. At this time we are simply looking for tips and ideas from devs who have successfully been through the process, and can share there wisdom and insights.

Then just work on your game. Who knows? Maybe you'll come up with a good idea or two in meantime. ;)
