Ghost Recon - Desert Siege Thread

Hi All,
Tell me what you think of this game. I play it all the time online and love it. Only shitty thing is that its hard to find a good server out there. I also just tried out Medal of Honour on the PS2 and have to admit its a cool game, reminiscent of Saving Private Ryan.

i only really played it for a few rounds on a mates computer at a lan..

it was awesome and frustrating at the same time... For a realistic simulation the respawn points were frustrating cos we all just kept respawning next to each other and hence there was a lil respawn rapage, which i thought should only happen in games like quake.

apart from that quirk if i ever made it into the open or a hiding spot it was awesome, with such a vast immersive levels to explore and destroy your enemies in, with many nooks and perfect hiding / positions to attack from

its true about the respawn points, especially with smaller maps when the enemy can make it to your side and kill you, you respawn in the same general area with the same enemy camping out your butt.

But with larger maps, it takes a lot of patience and a good eye to pick off guys in the distance, since it is basically a one-two shot kill.

i beat ghost recond got the expansion, but never played it... i love the game though, i used to rule at multi espically hamburger hill.

have you tried the gi joe mod for GR? it replaces the specialists with gj joe's like snake eyes and duke

we lan this game co-op, it's bloody awesome. there are so many mods for it at ghostrecon.net or .com, can't remember right now, check them out, some are fan-bloody-tastic. one changes the day/night around in all missions, damn fine....
