Hello devs,

We have created the Greatest Indie Games website Greatestindiegames.com where we'll be showcasing a handpicked selection of indie games each month!
Our goal is to help indie game developers get more coverage for their projects. We also provide feedback and aid where necessary, to make sure each game is presented in the best way possible.

Because we're also gamers, we've built Greatest Indie Games in a way that allows players to easily browse entries. No more back and forth clicking to check out games, we want people to spend time playing games, not looking for them.

So we invite you all to submit your entries and help us help you spread the word about your games! Greatestindiegames.com

There is a fee of $1 to submit a game to your website. Even if you pay, you're not guaranteed to be displayed on the website. Also, you don't offer a review. Basically it's paying $1 to MAYBE get a big image of our game shown on your website with a few links.

You also don't provide any information as for your stats. It might help to put (basically what is) an advertising on your website, but how would we know, since you don't provide stats about number of visits a day?

The reasons for the fee are explained on the website, so I'm not going to post them again here. There was no fee in the beginning and we got swamped in less-than-serious submissions, a lot of spam. Now only developers who are serious about their work submit their games and we have time to properly process entries.

Yes, we don't guarantee that paying $1 will get your content on our website. If a dev sends a poor quality screenshot of the game menu in his Android app about which there is absolutely no other info, we're not going to add it. It's a matter of respect for developers working hard on their projects and for players.

We do provide a form of review: if your game is on our website, it means it has something special and it's worth trying. If you want websites that do long, written reviews or Youtubers, by all means, there's a ton of those you can contact and we don't want to be another clone.

The reason our website is so simple, is that we want gamers to spend time playing games, not browsing endless pages to find them. We offer an elegant, quick way to browse website and in this lies our value proposition for players. Besides, what point is there in replicating the Steam page for a game, for instance, with all the info about a game? Players should go directly there if they want details. But if they're looking for some interesting indie games to play, they can quickly find them on our website.

About our stats, we're just starting out and we're busy communicating with developers, providing feedback and helping them present their games in a better way. We think that's more important than stats, because we care about both developers and gamers, and are focusing on providing value to them. We don't treat them as numbers we need to increase.

But if you want websites with high traffic, nobody stops you from going to IGN, Steam, Rock Paper Shotgun etc, and advertising there, right?
Our advertising prices, just like the submission fee, are symbolic, and are certainly not covering our expenses. But we do our best to spread the work about the games on our website, whether in advertising or just featured. We talk about them on Twitter, Steam and wherever we get the opportunity. We recommend them to players.

We love every game submitted on our website, but if you don't like it, nobody's forcing you to use it ;)
