Generals / Generals Zero hour campaign -guideline to decrease speed of game Thread

Sorry for my english as first..

Who want slower speed of campaigns do this:
Find file with name: Options.ini (not in directory Generals (Generals Zero Hour), but somewhere in Documents directory, according to operational system..,
open him and add this link: FPS = 24 (something between 20-25 is best)
save this file and now try campaign.
And it should have gone.

This dont work on LAN play or playing internet game!
Time after time check file: Options.ini, if link FPS = some number..., is not erased after restart game..

Yes, you´re right. It was working, when I started the game for the first time. But when I restarted it, it wasn´t.

If you have Nvidia graphic card, use this: Guru3d.com

Run this program, click on "profile settings" and chance "Vertical Sync" in "Common" according to refresh rate of your display. Select 60Hz on your graphic display. "Vertical Sync" in Nvidia Inspector change to 1/3 Refresh rate, because 1/3 from 60 is 20. You have to get the same result (20-25) everytime.It´s the same number of game speed which you can set in skirmish (for example if you have set 75Hz on your desktop and "Vertical Sync" in Nvidia Inspector changed to 1/3, the result is 25 and the game is faster). if you have set 100Hz on your desktop refresh rate and "Vertical Sync" in Nvidia Inspector changed to 1/4, the result is too 25 and the game is faster.

I think that the best result is 20! and just a little more. Don´t forget to click on "apply changes" in up right corner on Nvidia inspector when you set Vertical Sync in Nvidia Inspector.

Then it should work. I have no problem with it.

But there is a problem. If you want to play with another players (online or LAN), they have to follow the instructions above as you do. Otherwise it´s not working.

Both players must use too same result! 2players 2x20 or 2x25.Not 1 player with 20 and other with 25.

Write me later when you´ll try it, I would like to know if it´s worknig or not. If not I´ll try to help you more.

Don´t forget to restore the default settings after you finish the game!!!

Maybe try only frame rate limiter, but i dont tried this. Youtube.com

Manualy write in this 20, because 29 is least options.

If you have ATI graphic card, try some graphic utility as Nvidia have a Nvidia Inspector.

Jinak, kdyby tu byl nejakej CZ hráč a měl zájem to vysvětlit, tak ať napíše, jestli to podle toho horního není k pochopení a dám vědět.

Mě osobně to takhle v pohodě po LANU funguje a není z toho rychloklikací rally..
